Description: Reporting to the PeopleSoft Global Services Manager, the Systems Analyst is a member of the technology team for Laureate Education responsible for systems and application service requests from business units within Laureate. The Systems Analyst is responsible for application development, maintenance and support of the PeopleSoft financial system (Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise). This person will work with the Technology and Finance teams in identifying and resolving application issues. This position will perform as the internal point of contact for PeopleSoft problem determination and resolution issues. This position is focused on key business applications that support the Laureate Online and Corporate Finance organization and is located in Baltimore, MD.
Major Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the PeopleSoft Global Services Manager to continuously improve and maintain the PeopleSoft financial system.
- Manage and communicate all issues related to the database and business system administration. This includes collaborating with functional and technical owners on incident management, problem management, escalation management, resource management.
- The role will provide an opportunity to understand the company's core business model and will include interactions with finance professionals across the world as well as key IT personnel.
- Analyze, evaluate, and develop creative solutions for business system needs and objectives for the customer community.
- Coordinate with vendors and functional end-users to provide 2nd and 3rd level production support for the PeopleSoft applications.
- Troubleshoot application and functional business issues.
Experience: CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Ideal Experience:
- Must possess 5-7+ years of project experience in a production environment.
- 4-year degree or job-related certification required with advanced degree or additional certification preferred. (e.g. PMI, CPA, Business Analyst, or PeopleSoft certification)
- Solid understanding and work experience functionally and technically in PeopleSoft financial modules (GL, AP, AM, ePro/PO and Expense) versions 8.4 or higher.
- Experience with PeopleSoft reporting tools including Crystal, nVision, and Query.
- Experience with PeopleSoft 8.x toolset including Application Engine, Application Messaging, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and PeopleCode
- Multi-currency, Multibook and VAT experience with the financial modules is a plus
- SQL experience is a requirement.
